Welcome Back
Welcome to our first school newsletter for 2022! The school newsletter is a very important way of communicating with families and the wider community. This year the Friday school newsletter will be published and emailed out on a fortnightly basis - Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. Please check your inboxes on these weeks as I would hate for anyone to miss any important information or event. If for whatever reason you know of any family not receiving the school newsletter please ask them to contact the Office on 6654 1981. This year it would be great if there was a boost in readership from 50% of our families.
For the vast majority of our students, not even the current COVID-19 guidelines could reduce the buzz of excitement about returning to school for another year of fun and learning with their friends and staff. However, if your child expresses any difficulties at home about being back at school please immediately contact their class teacher. At St Francis Xavier there is an expectation that teachers will regularly contact families to foster a positive partnership as well as develop good lines of communication. Families are also encouraged to reach out to class teachers as a fruitful working partnership is a two-way street.
Covid-19 Information
In terms of current information in relation to COVID-19 please take the time to carefully read these two documents - ‘School COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions for Families & Students’ and ‘Caring for your child with COVID-19 at home’.
Welcome to Kindergarten and new families
Finally, on behalf of the entire school community I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all our Kinders, the large number of new students across the various Stages and their families to the St Francis Xavier school family.
Yours in Faith,

MAI’s Completed
Thank you to all for yet another year where the transition back to school commenced with one on one opportunities to support our students. It certainly was a wonderful opportunity for students to come onsite and discover which room they are in, who is with them and time to familiarise themselves with what the new space looks and feels like. A great way to set up a successful 2022.
