School Leadership Event
Over the holidays, some of our School Leaders were lucky enough to attend the annual leadership event hosted by Kevin Hogan MP. The students gleaned much from this year's guest speaker, Nyunggai Elder, Warren Mundine AO.
“Big things happen when you do the little things right.” (Kalani)
“Warren was really inspiring and it was great that Kevin wanted to celebrate the school leaders.” (Olive)
“You should always give things a go, because even if you fail, at least you tried and you learn from that.” (Eli)
We look forward to seeing these sentiments inspire our students as they continue to grow in their leadership.
Anzac Day
Thank you to all the students and families who proudly represented St Francis Xavier and participated in the Anzac Day March in Woolgoolga. A special mention to our three student representatives Ava, Zoe and Tim who read so beautifully during the service.

Attendance Focus - Healthy sleep, exercise and diet can make a difference
Healthy sleep, exercise and diet play critical roles in a student's overall wellbeing, impacting not only their physical health but also their cognitive function, emotional regulation and ability to focus.
Encouraging healthy habits early on sets the foundation for a lifetime of wellbeing. Children who learn the importance of sleep, exercise and a balanced diet are more likely to carry these habits into adolescence and adulthood, impacting their overall attendance and success in school.

Zone Cross Country Carnival
Congratulations to the Zone Cross Country Team who competed in Grafton this week. Out of the nine schools competing at the Clarence Zone Carnival, the St Francis Xavier Team came out on top, winning the Carnival with a huge 60 points! We are very proud of this achievement and wish the best of luck to the many students progressing to the Diocesan Cross Country Carnival in Grafton on 21 May.
Polding Winter Sports Trials - Football
Good luck to Eli Franke who, this week, is representing the Diocese of Lismore at the Polding Winter Sports Trials in Football at Tamworth.
Eli will take part in a training session with the Diocesan team today and will compete at the trials on Friday.
Well done Eli!
Congratulations to Eli Franke who has officially accepted an invitation to join the Northern NSW Football 13/14yrs Talent Support Program (TSP), making him the youngest male TSP player on the North Coast at only 11 years of age. TSP is part of Football Australia’s National Talented Player Pathway and is by invitation only.
It came about because unbeknown to Eli's parents, back in March while playing in Newcastle, Eli was being watched by the Talent ID Team of the Northern NSW Football TSP. Given his age, there needed to be conversations with his parents, an age exemption and the full backing of North Coast Football’s Technical Director (who is also an ex-Socceroo and ex-Matilda’s coach).
Best of luck Eli!
